About the Author:

Dr. Janaki received her Ph.D. from Madras University and D.Phil from Oxford University. She specialised in Sahitya and Saiva Agamic rituals. She served as Secretary of the Sanskrit Ranga, Madras founded by Dr. V. Raghavan. Dr. Janaki has authored and edited more than 30 books and monographs and contributed more than 100 articles for various research journals in India and abroad. Dr. Janaki is a receipient of President Certificate of Honour for her services to Sanskrit literature.
