Siromani Sannidhanam Suryanarayana Shastri a versatile scholar and great poet composed forty two Kavyas in Sanskrit and Telugu and four books on Sahitya and Vyakarana shastra in Telugu. He was born on 10-12-1897. The contribution to Sanskrit and Telugu that Sri Suryanarayana Shastry made is prolific and incredible variety. Among forty six books Sri Suryanarayana Shastry had published many books on his own and distributed most of them to scholars, students and libraries freely. His main intention was propagation of Sanskrit. He worked as teacher for thirty five years in Secunderabad and then served as lecturer in Sanskrit for five more years in the famous Reddy Women's college in Hyderabad. He was honoured by the rulers of Gadwal, Vanaparti and Addanki for his contribution to Sanskrit and Telugu literatures.
Scholars well versed in their respective Shastras will interpret the Kavyasahitya in a very scholastic way. And scholars who have command over poetry by nature would explain the Kavyas in blissful and beautiful manner in order to make people understand the beauty of Kavyasahitya. And there are also scholars acquainted with good knowledge in many languages and able to compose poetry in all the languages they know with same ease and fervour. They continuously make the readers of all languages delighted by bringing the theme of one language in to another language by their skill of creativity. There are many such excellent personalities in India and Shiromani Sri Sannidhanam Suryanarayana Shastri is one of such amazingly talented personality. He has a variety of literary works to his credit in both Sanskrit and Telugu literatures.
He brought beautiful and vary famous Telugu kavyas and stories from Telugu Prabadhas in to Sanskrit. Aandhrakaavyakathah, Aandhradesha Hosya kathaah, khadga Tikkanah, Kalaapoornodayam are some of the kavyas. And Vaasavadattaa, Jaatakakathah, Kaavyaalankaara sangrahah and some other Sanskrit works he brought in to Telugu. He has also composed many works of his own in both languages Sanskrit and Telugu.
