Who are the Sadhs and what do they believe in? Spread out across parts of North India, with centres at Delhi and Farrukhabad, are a very little-known religious sect known as the Sadhs. Neither Hindu nor Christian, this unusual group has a very interesting story to tell.
The earliest origin of the Sadhs is believed to be after the coming of Christ, and there is some speculation as to whether that religion had a major impact on this rural and urban group of scattered believers. Collated by W. L. Allison, this book seeks to unravel the mysterious emergence and traditions of the Sadhs.
