Roots and Other Poems deftly dissects the layers of human psyche that represents the cultural phenomenon, especially in a rural backdrop. The poems are more about truth than beauty, more about wisdom than intellect and more about exposing cob-webs in orthodox human minds than artistry of words. There is a rhythm of deep meaning pervading all through the poems.
