He has more than twenty-six years of teaching & research experience in the field of Yogic Science. Prof. Kumar authored 3 books and published several research papers and articles in National and International Journals. He is a member of several prestigious committees in other Academic institution and Govt. bodies. Prof. Kumar was awarded several prestigious awards for his outstanding contribution in the field of Yogic Science.

Dr. Udham Singh (MPhil, PhD), Assistant Professor in the Department of Yogic Science, Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar. He has more than 12 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Yogic Science. Dr. Singh has authored four Books and published more than 40 research articles in National and international journals. Dr. Singh was awarded several prestigious awards for his outstanding contribution in the field of Yogic Science.

Foreword The edited volume is a remarkable book, describing role of yogis in Indian independence movement. On completion of 75 years of India's independence, the program 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' is being celebrated by Government of India across the country. This was the result of great effort of Indian citizens through which India got independence from British rule. Yogis have their own indomitable contribution in the Indian independence movement. Yogis such as Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, Swami Shraddhananda, Shri Aurobindo, and Swami Vivekananda have shown the pathway of Indian independence by giving the idea of Swaraj to Indian citizens.
