About the Editors:

Prof. R. K. Sharma (b. 1932) Professor and Head of the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and archaeology and Dean, Faculty of social Sciences, University of Jabalpur retired in 1992. His contributions to the cause of Indian Archaeology in general and Archaeology of Madhya Pradesh in particular are widely acclaimed. His prestigious publications (over twenty) include: Prehistoric Art in India (Dr. S. K. Pandey Fel. Vol.) (Ed.), Delhi, 1996; Kalachuri: Rajvansh Aur Unka Yug, 2 vols, Delhi, 1998 and Tribal History of Central India, 3 vol., Delhi, 2002. A. Series of other publications are in process.

Shri Devendra Hnada holds postgraduate degrees in Sanskrit, History and Education - all in First class and with top positions in the University. After a teaching career of more than thirty years, he finally retired form the Panjab University, Chandigarh in 1999. He is known to the indologists through more than three hundred research papers and numerous monographs.
