This book on Research methodology is specially written for Ayurvedic Post-Graduate Students, keeping in view the CCIM syllabus in a scholar-friendly manner. Apart from prescribed topics a few additional relevant topics like, the role of placebo in clinical practice, how to write research papers and abstracts etc are included, to make the work a comprehensive one. This book is also designed to be useful to practicing Ayurvedic physicians, as they are the regular researchers. We hope that this work will help them to put their observations in a systematic and scientific way to further enrich Ayurvedic practice. Our special thanks to Dr. P. Madhavi, P.G. scholar for her help in gathering information.. and for rendering the finishing touches to the work. We especially wish to acknowledge the help rendered by Dr. Gurumurthy, medical officer, /P.G. scholar for the material offered. Finally we thank all our teachers, colleagues and students who have been inspiration to us to undertake this work. We humbly welcome suggestions, improvements, critical remarks from any quarter, so that we may carry them in future revisions.
