I appreciate the efforts of Dr. Piyush Gupta, Dr. Sandeep Charak and Dr. Julee Mathur for writing a book on the "Basics of Research Methodology and Medical Statistics for Ayurveda Scholars" in accordance with the syllabus as prescribed by CCIM. The vast and complicated part of research and statistics is made easier and has been presented with ample illustrations and Ayurvedic example wherever possible. This book is beneficial to BAMS, M.D. (Ayu.), M. S. (Ayu.) students to understand the basics of research methodology and medical statistics.
The book is written as the matter should not be more or less. This book is divided in three sections-
1. Research Methodology,
2. Medical statistics and
3. Objective question based on Research Methodology and Medical Statistics.
This book also contain appendix portion just after Research Methodology section, having some important notes of questions which are frequently asked in examinations.
At the end 2nd section (Medical Statistics), a few examination papers have been appended for the convenience of the I"t year M.D. scholars. We are open to all suggestions/ modification and correction for further improvement of this book. We welcome these suggestion as constructive criticism from scholars and teachers, that it is always needed and appreciated.
