I am very been to an of Shaman Byampadorj's wonderful book personal reflections, shaman poems, and advice. He is of the greatest living shamans Mongolia today, and has made major contribution the revival and preservation ancient tradition, legacy that was strongly oppressed by the Communists during long period of Soviet domination. In one Byampadorj's reminiscences this book he mentions how his mother passed in early 1990, just after Communism fell and regained religious freedom. He mentions how his mother so delighted see a new temple being re-consecrated, and spiritual practitioners once again being allowed to engage in their religious practices without fear reprisals. Byampadorj concludes account stating that his mother passed away quietly and peacefully day, reciting her mantras as she slipped to the side. Byampadorj does not dwell on the years of oppression; rather simply alludes them statements like this made in passing. many great Mongols, he prefers to focus on happier thoughts.

Shaman Byampadorj's book has seen half dozen editions in Mongolia, and in each edition had new songs and poems added, well some older ones dropped out. have mainly chosen materials from the third and fourth editions.
