What he left behind was an incredible legacy in surgical philosophy, technique, management and instrumentation.
Advances in science and technology and their discovery and assimilation by pioneers were the primary determinants for the Surgery. New drug, new instruments, new tools and new devices are developed the requirements of the contemporary generation by the medical industry. All these instruments are the refinement and improvement which in turn become the fuel for the development of the next generation of products. Ksarasutra is such an area of fascination and has a tremendous role in the field of Colo-proctology in ailing the humanity. All these developments in the fragment of surgery never disregard the role of surgeons and Susruta always allowed exercising their own judgment in defining the role of Ksarasutra in determining the area of scope.
