The Enlightenment of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi was on 17th of July 1896 when he was sixteen years of age. He reached Tiruvannamalai 0n 15th of September 1896. His role as a universal guru began in 1900 and continued at this place till his Mahanirvana on 14th of April 1950.
