Bhagavan Ramana’s role as a universal guru began in 1900 at Tiruvannamalai itself till his Mahanirvana on 14th April 1950. The Enlightenment of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi was on 17th of July 1896 when he was sixteen years of age. He reached Tiruvannamalai 0n 15th of September 1896. His role as a universal guru began in 1900 and continued at this place till his Mahanirvana on 14th of April 1950. In this period a wide variety of spiritual seekers, devotees and general public came to him for clarification and guidance on the scriptures and more particularly on the Ramana path of self- enquiry for Self-knowledge.
