Dr. K. Bharathi is a Professor, History Department, Pachaiyappa's College, Chennai. She was the executor of Chudamani's will and is a trustee of R.Chudamani Memorial Trust. She is the author of several short stories, essays and novellas, and was given the 'Annam' award instituted by Ilakkiya Veethi.
Prabha Sridevan is a retired judge of the Madras High Court and the former chairperson of the Intellectual Property Appellate Board. She has translated the works of several writers including Chudamani. 'Seeing in the Dark' (OUP) and 'Echoes of the Veena' (Ratna) are translations of Chudamani's short stories. The latter won the award for the best translation at VOW literary festival 2019 at Dehradun.
