This book is useful for those who are preparing for those screening or entrance written exams in which the section on Quantitative Aptitude features as an important constituent. The book has been arranged into 23 chapters, each on a topic from which considerable number of questions are set in such competitive exams. These chapters are essentially unsolved question banks and contain questions ranging from ten to thirty. Extreme care has been taken to include diverse problems on a particular topic. The book ends with a Comprehensive Test which includes questions from each of the foregoing chapters.
The book is meant to be used by those aspirants who have considerable grasp over the basics of various topics which constitute Quantitative Aptitude. Such aspirants can attempt the questions in each of the chapters in the book to assess their hold over a particular topic. It is suggested that aspirants try to complete a chapter in one sitting and devote average of (preferably) one minute (or two minutes at the most) to every question. Before attempting to solve questions in a particular chapter, it would be better if the aspirants brush-up their knowledge of the related concepts.
Gaurav Joshi hails from Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. He completed his engineering from Kumaun Engineering College, Dwarahat (Almora) in 2005 and obtained the PG degree in Management in 2007 from the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (New Delhi). He also has a Master's degree in Psychology.
He has more than fifteen years of work Gaurav Joshi experience and has been associated with various well-known organisations like Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Gurgaon (NCR) and Uttarakhand Gramin Bank headquartered at Dehradun (Uttarakhand). He has also served the Uttarakhand Road Transport Corporation as Assistant General Manager, Operations. He is currently working as Assistant Professor (Business Administration) at the Laxman Singh Mahar Campus (Pithoragarh) of the Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora (Uttarakhand).
Ile has qualified various exams including CAT (98+ Percentile), MAT (99+ Percentile) and the written exams conducted for selection to NDA, CDS and the Territorial Army. He has also cleared various other written exams like SSC, UPSC-AC (CAPF) & CSAT, ASI, LIC AAO, UII AO. He has been teaching Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning Skills for almost 12 years now.
