Jagadguru Shri Vallabhacharyaji has very kindly spread and publicized among the people the divine principles of very useful Upanishadas for the welfare of the human beings by presenting them in a simple manner. Whatever we are today, that is because of the grace of Shri Vallabhacharyaji.
Shri Vitthalnathji Gusainji, the second son of Shri Vallabhacharyaji has imparted us the knowledge of our duty to worship Lord Shri Krishna according to one's own religion while staying in the house without any attachment for worldly, vedic duties (गृहे स्थित्वा स्वधर्मतः अव्यावृत्तो भजेत कृष्णं) by establishing the affectionate relationship of the Lord and the attendant with Yashodotsanglalit Parbrahma Lord Shri Krishna. But as long as we do not follow and assimilate in our life these impressions given to us by our former Acharyas, our future young generation will not be cultured with those impressions.
This is also the first duty of the guardians that by giving up their selfish attitude and laziness, they should provide good culture to their children for the progress of the nation in addition to the fulfilment of their necessities of childhood. The (Samskar) which are impressed in childhood, take firm roots, and the same develop in the future and provide them stability in the future. It is essential for us to understand our ancient culture if we have to remain in our original form while living with modern culture amidst the conditions and situations of today.
Keeping in view all the above factors, our reverend Gurucharan Shri Gopaldasji Gajja, very assiduously, started writing a small book known as "Pushtimarga Dipika" with the permission of my respected father (Late Shri Brajbhushan Lalji Maharaj) about thirty or forty years ago, but nobody can know the will of God, 'भगवदिच्छा न केनापि ज्ञातुं शक्या' He could not complete this book. He could write only the first part and a few portions of the second part. At that time, in his very presence my respected father got the first part of this book published in vikram year 2022, the copies of which are almost over.
I am overwhelmed even today while thinking about my Guruji. He was full of the feelings of renunciation while remaining in the house (grihasthashram). He was equally the master of three languages-Hindi, English and Sanskrit. His natural urge to teach, his efficiency and art of teaching, his full devotion to teaching, his affectionate strictness towards students, his frankness, disinterested interest, his virtuous life without any vanity, and his humorous nature were really remarkable My revered Guruji, whose property was "स्पर्शेषु यत् षोडशमेकविशः" had special affection and sympathy for me. It was I whom he had kindly given the book of Shrimad Bhagawat of his daily reading in his last hours along with some unpublished literature written by himself which is safe even today in the same form. Being the dear disciple of my Guru, I have got the natural right to enlarge, moderate and complete the literature writ- ten by him, and under the same right I have got second edition of the present book 'Pushtimarga Dipika published after enarging, moderating, and completing it after writing the unwritten portion. In this book information has been imparted about our Pushtimarga through small questions and answers in easy language. In the first part of this book, an attempt has been made to describe the historical facts related to Shri Vallabh sampraday through small questions and answers. An introduction to Shri Vallabhacharyaji, Sri Vitthalnathji and the entire family of Apshri has been made as far as possible. In the second part, the theoretical aspect of "Shudhadvait Brahmawad Nirgun Pushti Bhaktimarg" has been dealt with through the process of small questions and answers. In the third part, subject related to Pushtiseva of Shri Govardhandharan Lord Shri Krishna has been described through the process of questions and answers. Over and above these three parts, some other essential, subjects, have also been highlighted, as for example, some rules of good conduct, obedience to codes of conduct, and knowledge of purity, impurity etc. have also been discussed in form of formula through questions and answers. Only Pushti-proof sentences have been made the basis in the discussion of all these subjects.
