Just like a river. if a river doesn't flow and it's stagnant then what happens? All kinds of algae grows and the stagnant river becomes slimy. Who wants to take a dip in a stagnant river? But a flowing river, Oh yes!, a nicely flowing river, coming down from the Himalayas before the Delhi pollution, a nice flowing river coming right over the Himalayan mountain up in the Haridwar, Hrishikesh Oh yes! So you have to be like a flowing river and not a stagnant river.

Every day you have to be always be advancing in Krsna consciousness. "Every minute how can I become more Krsna conscious now, than I was a minute ago". Always think how can I become more Krsna conscious, how can I have a better attitude towards devotees, how can I have a better relationship with the name, how can I become more controlled in my senses my eating, my sleeping? How can I become more neat and clean? In all the activities that are given for a devotee, how can I always be improving? Now I am a basket case, a bit of a slob and not very advanced in Krsna consciousness but let me always advance a little bit more.
