None can deny the fact that Puratchi Thalaivar MGR has left indelible impressions in the minds of people by his glorious and historic achievements which are like pictures inscribed on stone.

I am very much pleased to offer my foreword to this Book depicting the services rendered by MGR, who was a very successful personality both in Tamil Cinema and Politics, for the development of Tamil during his regime as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

This book also deals with the various schemes introduced by MGR as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the development of Tamil, known for its antiquity and fertility of literature, during the period from 1977 to 1987 in an elaborate manner.
