The Pramanapaddhati is an important work of Dvaita epistemology based on Pramana-lakshana of Sri Madhvacharya. Sri Jayatirtha wrote a valuble commentary (Teeka) on this monograph. Now the Teeka is published with unpublished commentary Bhava- chandrika, written by Vanivala Narasimhacharya who belongs to circa 16th century. This has been edited using four original manuscripts with a critical and exhaustive introduction. Dr. Shankaranarayana Adiga, Dy. Director of Poornaprjna Samshodhana Mandiram, has submitted this for Doctoral thesis and also awardee of Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D). I congratulate Dr. Adiga for his valuable contribution in the field of critical edition of manuscripts and research.
Sri Teekacharya explained new definitions on Dvaita epistemology in the light of Prarnana-Iakshana of Sri Madhvacharya. Concept of Smrti, Mind, Sakshi, Khyati, etc., are new contributions to the Indian epistemology field. I hope scholars of Indian philosophy will be benefitted by this edition.
With the continued guidance and blessing of Sri Vishveshatirtha Swamiji of Sri Pejavara Matha, this Research Institute is sailing smoothly and doing its best in meeting the goals set by Sri Swamiji. While praying for continued guidance, we as a team do the work worthy of his blessings.
