On a Sunday as I was going to the company in a car, I received a phone call from my friend. He informed that "Reiki Master Sri Madwapathi Acharya has come from Bangalore. He is giving Reiki initiation and opens up chakras of the body, after this we can heal other people. The place was Woodland Hotel in Mysore and if interested you can attend." I was very keen and curious about it. Instead of going to office I drove to Hotel to learn Reiki on that day.
The whole of that day Acharya introduced Reiki to all the participants. He taught us about Reiki like history, attunement, self-healing and group healing methods. He taught the subject very well and I was fully impressed.
During the session I was observing all the other participants, suddenly I noticed the aura of a participant which was strange on both sides of head, appearance of red matted hair with red clouds from that small small bubble were raising. I was surprised to see it.
During the tea break, I enquired my teacher about this. He advised me to get clarification from the concerned person himself.
While having lunch I sat beside him and conversed with him about my observation on his aura. He told me that he is a terminal cancer patient. He wanted Reiki treatment to get some relief.
During attunement, I experienced a strange feeling, as if my skull was open and powerful wave entered in to my body. My body and hands become very hot and vibrated with delighted feeling.
This was the beginning of my spiritual awakening.
Whole day programme went on well.
Self-healing and healing others were taught till late evening, I spent the whole day in Reiki sprit/mood.
I was experiencing a very strange feeling, the whole room was filled with heavenly aroma, which I had not smelled before.
I was wondering as to who it could be.
Is it my wife? No because she was asleep next to me and she was not aware of Reiki.
May be a thief? If he is a thief. He would have broken my head and not given the blissful touch.
Who was it be? Who could it be? Anxiety increased to peak.
Again I tried to shout, but voice did not come out, not able to move my limbs, I just laid limp on the bed.
Finally, I consoled myself, I am not hurt, whoever it may be I am feeling happy. I kept quiet.
After about two hours, the hands withdrew slowly I came to senses, got up and sat up. Took out my torch and shouted "Thief, thief" and light were switched on.
I searched below the cot did not find anyone, ran towards the back door, it was closed as before. The front door was also closed.
Everything was as it was before.
At home only wife and I were present. Then what this experience is due to I was not able understand.
I thought it was hallucination, as I was thinking only about Reiki this must have happened. Then I went to sleep.
