The book contains fifteen long poems in the traditional mahakavya form out of the hundreds published throughout the length and breadth of our sub continent, during the last fifty years. These selected works are described in detail and appreciated from the angle of Sanskrit Literary Theory. 5.Ranganath secured First Class, First Rank in M.A.Sanskrit from Bangalore University in the year 1984. He is the recepient of Hiriyanna Gold Medal and Hebbar Sri Vaishnava Sabha Gold Medal. The title VEDABHUSHANA was conferred on him by Veda Dharma Paripalana Sabha. He has a Vidwan Degree in Adaita Vedanta from Sri Chamarajendra Sanskrit College, Bangalore. he was awarded Diploma in Indology from R.V. Institute of Sanskrit Studies. He obtained his Ph.D. in Sanskrit from the Bangalore University in the year 1990 for the Topic con tribution of vacaspati mishra to indian philosophy. He has studied Rigveda traditionally for eight years. He has eighty Research Papers to his credit in Sanskrit, English, Kannada and Telugu. He is a Senior Lecturer in Sanskrit in the NMKRV College for Women, Bangalore.
