N ew York City-based writer, Shaili Kapoor, is shocked to find out about her mother, Meena Kapoor's, death. Meena had drowned herself in Pashan Lake in Shaili's hometown of Pune, India. When she was younger, Shaili and her mother would often spend time at the lake, without the knowledge of her father, Suresh Kapoor and younger sister, Tanisha. p>
B orn in India and raised between India and North Africa, Sweta Srivastava Vikram writes both prose and poetry. Her work has appeared in six countries across three continents. She has authored four collections of poetry. Perfectly Untraditional is her first novel. A graduate of Columbia University, Sweta lives in New York City with her husband.
