But in the sacred holy book - Guru Granth Sahib ji and in the history of Sikhism the word 'Panch' has been given great significance.
The word 'Five' has been frequently used in the world too. In Gurbani both the words 'Panch' and 'Punj' have been used. In some places they mean the same thing but sometimes they hold different meanings too. Here it means that, all the five leaders also did not get rid of their doubt. In Gurbani in some places it is mentioned that one should shed off these 'five' and in some places it says one s e should adopt these 'Five'.
