This book relates to impact of paintings on buildings and human mind. This book has been written with an intention to simplify the meaning and importance of art in our life. It highlights in simple words, the significance and symbolic meaning of objects in colours, paintings, backgrounds etc. and its profound impact on our conscious and sub-conscious mind. This book is written with an objective to make readers select a suitable painting for their own or building.
The book is providing simple and ready solutions to complex problems of life through pictures which are easily available. The authors have done intensive research on how people perceive art. They have tried to place the view-point from perspective of a common man. The book intends to create awareness of being selective in choosing paintings and sculpture that can make our life better.
I deem it is a privilege to have been invited to write a foreword for the book Paintings Affect Buildings and Human Mind. This book has been written by young Interior Designers and Scientific Vastu Experts and they have tried to prove scientifically that paintings and art affect the character of a room or an individual's mind.
Although I am an Architect by profession but I have been painting since 1950. I have done innumerable paintings throughout my life. I have been observing and admiring creativity through paintings since then. I commend this book not only to the professionals and students of building fraternity but also to the Vastu experts and general people at large. I think this book can help any household to be selective in using paintings as per their conditions and improve their life all together.
