Anju is the author of two well received books, "A Journey to the Heavens", and "A Wedding in the House".
Born into Modi Family of Modi Nagar, she is married into the well known Poddar family of Kolkata. She is exposed to Hindu traditions and culture on a daily basis, being a part of families steeped in rich Hindu traditions and beliefs.
A successful homemaker, Anju is well read and has travelled widely. She has done her Honours in Sanskrit from Meerut Universtiy followed by B.E. from the University of Oklahama, U.S.A. She is also engaged in working with children which gives her immense pleasure and satisfaction.
Hindu traditions and festivals fascinate her and she wishes to propagate their importance to the young family of today and to the forthcoming generations. Her interest in art goes beyond mere appreciation for she has a way of imbibing it into her daily routine. Indian weaves and handicrafts in all their intricacy captivate her.
Anju is married to Shri Vinod Poddar and lives in Hyderabad. She has discovered the secret of life, for she believes in warmly celebrating every day, surrounded by her children Pallavi, Niraj, Avantika, Puneet and her grandchildren Aman, Yash, Avanee and Priyang.
