A number of good articles covering varieties of areas of Buddhist knowledge have been included in this volume, which throw light on Buddhism from multiple perspectives. Hope scholars and students will take benefit from them.

The Editor-in- Chief is a former Professor & Head of the Department of Sanskrit at Aligarh Sanskrit University, Aligarh. A renowned scholar of Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Apabhramsha etc. Prof. Sharma has authored a number of valuable books on Sanskrit and Paligrammer, linguistics and Indian Philosophy.

Prof. Baidyanath Labh -

The founder Secretary of ISBS has been the real spirit behind the smooth sailing of its various conferences and publications of their proceedings. He has served the Dept. of Buddhist Studies, University of Jammu for 32 years and is presently holding the post of Vice- Chancellor of Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, Nalanda as well as that of Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (Deemed to be University), Let. He has to his credit publication of over 100 research articles and 22 books on Buddhism and Indology.

Prof. Surya Prakash Vyas -

Prof. Vyas has been a Professor and Head, Dept. of Bauddha & Jain Darshan, Dharma Vijnana Sankaya at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has authored a large number of books and research articles on Buddhist, Jain and Sanatana Philosophy& Culture.

Prof. Bhag Chandra Jain -

A former Professor & Head, Dept. of Pali and Prakrit at Nagpur University, Prof. Jain has headed some other research institutions like Parshwanath Shodh Vidyapeeth, Varanasi and similar at Jaipur. An honoree of Prudential Award, Prof. Jain has contributed profusely in the fields of Indian philosophy in general and Pali-Prakrit in particular.

Dr. Lalit Gupta -

An eminent scholar of Art history, Dr. Gupta has contributed valuably on the history and culture of Jammu region. Besides, he has been actively associated with folk art and stage, play writings etc.

Dr. Suswati Mutsuddy -

Heading the Department of Pali, University of Colcutta, Dr. Mutsuddy is actively engaged in popularizing the subject among the youth. She has written a number of research articles in English and Bengali. Besides, she organizes academic programs regularly engaging monks, nuns and scholars of Buddhist Studies.

Prof. Anita Billawaria -

Prof. Billawaria has taught History in general and art history in particular for decades in the University of Jammu. She established an active collaboration between Jammu and Ladakh through the Centre for History & Culture of Jammu and Ladakh regions. Her writings on Basoli art have been taken in high esteem by the scholars.
