Preface

The goal of the NATIONAL TEACHERS ELIGIBILITY TEST (AYURVEDA)-NTET exam is to make sure that candidates for Assistant, Associate, and Professor Positions in Indian System of Medicine institutions have the aptitude, know-how, and abilities needed to succeed in their teaching positions.

On December 14, 2023, the National Council for Indian System of Medicine announced a circular about the implementation of NTET. NCISM published guidelines for administering NTET on 20.2.2024. On 9.4.2024, the National Council for Indian System of Medicine, or NCISM, released a second circular that expanded on the first and provided NTET recommendations.

With effect from the 2024 academic year, the order aims to standardize eligibility conditions. Teachers who are currently employed and have codes issued by CCIM or NCISM are not eligible. The NTET will be an aptitude-based exam. The multiple- choice questions in the NTET will be worth a total of 100 marks.

The book tilted NTET-AYUR has been written strictly according to the syllabus issued by National Commission of Indian Medicine (NCISM). The book has been divided in to eight chapters with appropriate multiple-choice questions included.

It is my genuine hope that this book will be very helpful to aspiring Ayurvedic instructors. My deepest appreciation goes out to Mr. Ajay Gupta of Chaukhambha Orientalia in Delhi, India, who never stops motivating me to finish the challenging job.
