Nirvana of Jesus Christ brings out the spiritual and philosophical genesis, growth, fruition and culmination of the personality of Jesus Christ from childhood to crucifixion. Nearly 18 missing years of Jesus' younger days, until the time of his emergence as a preacher evangelizing the ideals enshrined in the New Testament of the Holy Bible, are delineated. The significance of Jesus' revolutionary philosophy, ethical code of conduct and imperatives of righteousness to be compatible with the divine path of God are graphically brought out. It narrates Jesus' long years spent with John, later John the Baptist, in the university of Taxasila, or Taxila, and his comprehensive absorption of Yoga precepts and practices and Indian spiritual ethos.
Gautama Buddha's enlightenment and his first sermon in Saranath, popularly referred to as the turning of the Wheel of Righteousness (Dharma Chakrapravthana Sutra) and other exhortations in Vinaya Thripitaka -Sutta, and Abhidhamma), are juxtaposed with the teachings and parables of Jesus Christ. The remarkable similarity in the conceptual axioms of the founders of Buddhism and Christianity is imaginatively put in a convincing fashion.
In 30 chapters, the author presents the enslavement of Jesus through religious regimentation of conventions, customs and arbitrary regulations by the self-centred autocratic Jewish priestocracy, claiming descent from Prophet Moses. Parables are drawn with the horrors of Varnavyavastha, and the caste system is used and abused by misinterpreting Holy Scriptures by the Brahmanical creamy layer of Indian society. Preaching the lofty, ennobling vision in the Upanishads as a thesis and practicing the graded inequality of caste order, structured by Smrithi (Manu, Parasara, Yajnavalkia, Sankara and so on), created a precarious scenario. It yielded unbearable deprivation to lower castes, particularly to those in the lower segments, like nomads, hunters and food-gatherers.
The book details Buddha's search for truth and stages of spiritual evolution, enlightenment and judicious explanations to human problems, as well as the stress put on finding a lucid and reasonable methodology to suffering and deprivation. Jesus' sojourn in Taxasila, which led to his assimilation and absorption of Buddhist philosophies as a disciple of the great teacher, Nagarjuna, is presented credibly.
The bulk of people who were victimized by the rigors of violent rites and Yaga by Brahmin priests, aided by the mighty rulers and their elite, were attracted to Buddhism. With time, even kings and their ilk, having been convinced by the logical and utilitarian thrust of Buddhism and seeking to avoid confrontation with their subjects, had embraced the way of life preached by Tadagatha, the Sakya Muni. It was akin to Roman Emperor Constantine accepting Christianity as his religion because of the vast majority of plebeians embracing the religion.
