Neuroscience, Consciousness and Philosophy by Professor G. C. Pande brings into focus neuroscience and consciousness, philosophy as the phenomenology of consciousness and yoga as the science of consciousness. Its conclusion that consciousness is the deepest telos immanent in the evolutionary process of nature and society and to realize the full nature of consciousness would be to realize divinity on earth is really inspiring.
About the Author:
He is an eminent historian and philosopher. He has been associated with many universities in different academic capacities for the last five decades. He had been the Vice- Chancellor of Rajasthan and Allahabad Universities. He is President of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study Society as well as Chairman of Governing Body. He is also Chairman of Allahabad Museum and Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarnath.

The Indian Institute of Advanced Study is wedded to the noble task of research on fundamental themes of life relevant to humanity. It is a matter of satisfaction to note that the paper entitled Neuroscience, Consciousness and philosophy by professor G.C. I felicitate the learned scholar for his Path- breaking presentation on a theme which is of hottest debate in science as well as spirituality. I am sure that such synthesis of science and spirituality, as this paper presents, will be welcomed by scholars and general interested readers.
