INTRODUCTION
Every year Sannyasa Peeth conducts three yajnas, invoking the weapons or astra of Brahma, Narayana and Shiva. Each weapon is a medium launched to destroy barriers and obstacles that obstruct the experience of Satyam-Shivam Sundaram in our life. Given the mandate by Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati to revive the ancient traditions of vajna, Swami Niranjanananda Sarascati has established these three yajnas over the past years. These are yajnas which have not been conducted since the time of the Mahabharata war, over 5,000 years ago.

Swamiji introduced the Pashupata Astra Yajna in 2014, at the culmination of his second year of panchagni sadhana. It has since become an annual anushthana invoking the weapon of Shiva which destroys the blockages of Brahma granthi. Vishnu granthi and Rudra granthi, the three psychic knots of material and sensual attachment, personal and emotional attachment, and the knot which ties us to our personal identity and prevents us from experiencing the divine.. transcendental dimension of life.

Since 2016, the Brahma Astra Yajna has been held dur ing the period of Gupta Navaratri, prior to Guru Poornima. The weapon of Brahma stops all that distracts and disturbs the mind from attaining its goal. It is the power of the crea tor and allows new and positive creations to take place in life.
