Gandhiji has ungrudgingly been hailed as the foremost leader of the world in modern times, who has shown the way to peaceful living and fraternity, leading to a now fast developing global society. He stands at par with Buddha and Jesus, and his principles need to be spread all over the planet, like Buddhism did in ancient times, to build up things in every aspect of life, in every land and culture; and the responsibility falls straight on us, among whom he rose and worked.

There are books and material galore on the subject, but what we need is a compact, easy to absorb printed and other material to find place in every house in our own country as also elsewhere. To serve this socio- religiopolitical purpose we are working on this Gandhi Global Series.

It intends to contain, in half-a-dozen averagesized books, his dramatic life story, select material on the chief ideas, and action programs launched by him- Non violence, Satyagraha, etc; - the assessment of his work by world leaders, etc; all suitably illustrated by rare photographs.

The present first is a condensation of his famous autobiography, regarded as a classic and highly interesting to read.
