21st February 2003 marks the 125th birth anniversary of the Mother. On this occasion we share with you, in this pictorial booklet, more than a hundred photographs of the Mother, some of them published here for the first time. The images cover the entire panorama of her profound and versatile life. The primary focus, though, is on her activities in the Ashram in the 1950s.

The photographs are accompanied by explanatory by explanatory captions, a brief narrative of the Mother’s life, and quotations from the works of the Mother, Sri Aurobindo and others. References for the quotations appear on the last page of the booklet.

For us these glimpses of the Mother’s outer existence convey an intimation of her wonderful inner reality. They remind us that the Divine Mother, in all her radiance, with all her compassion, in Knowledge and power, was among us... and is still among us.
