Dr. Vedavyasa Maharshi - comes from a family of fiery patriots! His father, Doctor Anantacharya one of the very few who got his MA Degree from Madras Presidency College - was a contemporary of Sri Aurobindo and Doctor S. Radhakrishnan who never accepted any job in the British Government, and lived like a Rishi by constant Vedic Study of Vedas Yoga and Teaching Vedic Shastras to devoted disciples. His worthy son of a worthy father is engaged in Reconstructing India's History from its own words - the Puranas and 'Itihasa'.

His Research into Vedic Chronology based on Astronomy, made 'Chronology' a Science discipline, no longer a scholarly guess of "Condescending Western Professors" - as he puts it. "National History" -as he calls it-is a part of National Education!

Born in a family of traditional Vedic scholars for seven generations, he was initiated at the age of 7 - into Gayatri Mantra. Dr. Vedavyas received training in Yoga, Astrology, Kabala Ayurveda Sanskrit and in the Vedic Sciences - till he entered the college. He stood 'First' in Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Sanskrit in 1952. He passed out with Master's Degree in Zoology in 1954, and worked as the Head of the Department of Zoology in Loyola College. Selected to Govt Service by All India Competition to IAS, he served as secretary of State to the Govt of Andhrapradesh, India, till he resigned in 1992.

He Established THE UNIVERSITY OF VEDIC SCIENCES in USA in -- 1999 which offers Degree in Vedic Sciences and Vedic Religion. Dr. Vedavyas was awarded D. Litt in Sanskrit for Discovering 45-Lost Slokas of the Bhagavad Gita - Lost for over 2000 years! He is the President of THE UNIVERSITY OF VEDIC SCIENCES-where he teaches.

He also prophecies and counsels free of charge, as a humanitarian service to God!

We have great pleasure in bringing out the Lectures delivered by Pujya Guru Deva Dr. Vedavyas Ph.D., D.Litt. President, University of Vedic Sciences at our "Rashtrottana Parishat" Bangalore during 1997 to our trainee Volunteers from the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Kendras from all over the South.

These talks were delivered on special areas of interest to every patriotic Indian who desires to know about the origins of our Nationhood, and the sources of India's strength and our undermining hazards as a Nation! As a people.

Right from the days of the Mahabharata War Lord Krishna whom our esteemed Lecturer Dr. Vedavyas termed as the "Father of the Nation" built up India not merely politically, as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel did in 1947 by his indomitable will by Integrating the Indian states welding them into one Nation "Bharat" as a Dominion Republic of India but more! Likewise, Lord Krishna gave us our first political theory of India's Nationhood, based on the Vedic concept of God as Purusha - the National 'Person', that is - Nation as God! This is a unique achievement in 'Spiritualizing Polics!'
