Foreword
"Make in India" - A clamor that is being heard across the world like never before. Everywhere you go today, you can't miss hearing-or reading about how India is the next big manufacturing hub! "Make in India" is an initiative launched by the Government of India to encourage multinational, as well as national companies to manufacture their products in India. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25, September, 2014. India emerged, after initiation of the programme in 2015 as the top destination globally for foreign direct investment, surpassing the United States of America as well as the People's Republic of China. "Make in India" will promote India "From a land of job seekers to a land of Creators." His words were echoing the sentiments of today's India- the flame had been ignited in the minds of India to create awesome products and companies which will change the world! The Prime Minister's call was Reassurance that the Government is supporting the sentiments in our minds.

"When the lion (India) awakes, the jungle (World) pays attention." It is clearly visible that our economy is over dependent on Service Sectors. But you'll have demand for services only when you have a vibrant Industrial Sector. When a country starts industrial development then the major part of the jobs will come from the Agriculture. And once the industrial sector gets developed, it generates Demand for Services leading to a shift from industrial sector to the services sector. So, the standard occupational structure is Agriculture to Industries and then over a period of time it leads to services.(Agriculture " Industries " Services.). But the fact is that - Contribution from the manufacturing sector to India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has remained stagnated at around 16% for the past 25 years and there is an urgent need to enhance this contribution for the overall growth of the Indian economy.

Preface
The "Make in India" campaign is launched by our beloved Prime Minister Sri Narendra Damodardas Modi on 25th September 2014.

This initiative is launched to give boost to different sectors like mobile, pharma, Information technology, chemicals, textile, railways, defense, renewable energy, agriculture, mining, bio-technology, electronics, leather, engineering etc.

The main object of make in India is to transform India from highly potential market to the powerhouse of manufacturing.

The make in India is mainly launched to attract foreign Direct Investment (F.D.I.) in manufacturing sectors so that millions of job opportunities can be created. Millions crore rupees could be saved from import bill and the profit should remain within India. The raw material is used in manufacturing will be purchased mostly by Indian markets. This campaign aims to make India the manufactures hub of the world, challenging China's dominant position in the world of manufacturing. Our present government has linked this to create a huge employment to in cash demographic divided.

India's dominant employer- the agriculture sector is no longer able to absorb the increase in labour force. The recent employment is mostly due to the rise of service sector which is non-productive. Be-cause agriculture sector and service sector are at stagnation therefore all the hopes are at manufacturing sector.

Now if it is launched in its full strength it will create 100 million jobs by 2021 by increasing the those of manufacturing sector in GDP to 25% from the current 16%.

The "Make in India" campaign will strengthen the economy and will make India a superpower in the world.

I am very grateful to Prof. Rachna Dubey for encouraging me to publish this book.
