Described as a 'bold and unorthodox mind,' the author, bitten by the literary bug quite early in life, resolved to master the art of writing. He overcame many limitations on the way, driven by dogged determination and perseverance. However, converting ideas and experiences into words proved to be an extremely elusive quest, but with relentless practice, he acquired a modicum of control. Since then he has made steady progress both as a budding journalist and as a senior editor, highlighting critical and contemporary issues and doing his bit for the underdog.
The author, who has done his M. Phil in English Literature, based his dissertation on the redoubtable Sherlock Holmes, the greatest sleuth of all time. He has written quite extensively on strategic, military, political and social matters, representing a corpus of more than 200 articles in the Indian Defence Review, The Salute, South Asia Monitor and cover stories for Indig Review and Analysis.
Post innings with the mainstream media, he has branched out as a novelist, strategic affairs columnist and screen-writer, besides editing books and writing reviews. The author had his share of bitter experiences, setbacks and adversities too, which helped impart a sharper edge to his literary endeavours, on a wider canvas.
