Our minds are constantly burdened with ever increasing desires on the one hand and fear governing our choices on the other-and the pendulum never settles in the middle. Our inner being is getting tired; it needs to be nourished and liberated. It yearns to experience freedom, peace and happiness.
In an easy-to-relate and conversational narrative, Let the Mud Settle shares deep insights, beautiful stories and contemporary teachings to lead you to your true self. The book will guide you to achieve lasting peace, connectedness, happiness, mindfulness, and most importantly, liberation from limiting mental conditionings.
Let the Mud Settle is a sacred journey, which will revive the joy of living.
A friend, a mentor and a spiritual teacher, Sri Anish has brought clarity and joyful intensity to the lives of numerous aspirants across the world. After spending many years in his meditative practices, he was guided to touch the lives of fellow beings on the path to lasting love, peace and bliss. An ex- corporate entrepreneur, Sri Anish has a vision to re-establish Dharma (highest wisdom) as the basic principle for living, and has initiated a spiritual community (Saadho Sangha) to work towards this vision. He lives in the Himalayan city of Dharamshala and travels across the world to hold public talks, meditation sessions, special programmes for corporates and educational institutes, and other humanitarian works.
Let the Mud Settle is Sri Anish's first book and a humble offering to help each being walk this beautiful path of inner knowing, and to work towards uplifting the collective human consciousness.
This is not a book but an inner journey on which we are travelling together. It is not an arduous journey where you walk barefoot, covered with cuts and bruises or pass through dense forests of fear and loneliness. Rather, this is a beautiful path, simple, even, straight and in reach of everyone, where we walk together exploring the beauty of nature all around.
There are no hidden secrets in a journey; yet, the unknown is revealed to us as beautiful notes of a musical symphony. There are no rules in this journey; however, the only recommendation is to complete this in order to get most out of it. There are revelations in this journey as we travel further, and the culmination will allow a beautiful flowering in each traveller. A journey really becomes a sacred pilgrimage when we embark on it with trust, not in any person who is leading it or our fellow travellers-that is a by-product-but a deep trust in existence itself. Here, existence is your well-wisher, it is your guiding force, it wants to nourish you, enable you to evolve and always hopes for your highest potential and well-being.
Although we are together in this adventure, knowing who I am (the writer) is not that important. Out of curiosity, you may try and find out details about me but, essentially, this journey is about you and your truth, you and your reality, you and your purest inner self, in which there is no distinction between You and I.
During this journey, we will meet several masters who have chosen to grace these words, and it is due to their kind blessings that we are able to walk together. I have taken the liberty to share stories from many masters, which I found deeply transforming and I hope, you too, will immerse yourself in them.
I have also tried to keep the flow of this quest as simple and grounded as possible so that we don't take flight into any conceptual domain of ideologies. However, there may be some areas where we will have to pass through some mystical lands, for words have their own limitations. But, largely, the language, choice of words and expressions are used in such a way that anybody who has a longing in their heart for truth, love and bliss can enjoy this expedition.
I have also noticed that, in most of my dialogues with friends, I tend to use singular gender phrases and, somehow, have developed this habit of referring to 'he/his' much more than 'she/her'.
