Hindi is the language spoken by the largest number of people in India, therefore, creating a niche to be considered the national language of the country. The foreigners from various countries visiting India as tourists, sportsmen, political delegates, artists, etc. happen to frequently interact more with Hindi speaking people than the people of any other languages spoken in India. And the reason behind this is that, while each of the other Indian languages is spoken in only one particular state, Hindi is spoken by the people of nine states of the country. Moreover, even in non-Hindi speaking states, people do not find it too difficult to be able to understand and express themselves in it.

Therefore, it has often been observed that not only foreigners visiting India but also the people of non-Hindi speaking states seem eager enough to learn Hindi as a second language in India. Seeing them curiously trying to express themselves in Hindi, it can be felt that they need a systematic easy-going, lucid and consequently result-orienting guideline in the form of a book to be able to learn the language.

Then our survey among such people, querying them if they would like to have any such book to help them learn Hindi, resulted 95 per cent in the affirmative. This, motivated us to prepare a book for learning Hindi from English. Consequently, the book "Learn Correct Hindi Through English" could see light of the day after painstaking and dedicated efforts and team work of the authors who have long been associated in the field of writing and editing both in Hindi and English.

One of the salient features of the book is that it is equally useful for Hindi speaking people to learn English in an effective way.

Finally, the book being so need-based and a number of features, will hopefully serve the purpose of the readers of all age groups in India and abroad both. Any suggestions or comments on behalf of the readers, meant for enriching the qualities of the book will be welcome and considered for the ensuing edition.
