Dear readers, this French course is an intensive course of one month. Students are expected to devote at least six hours daily for a month to complete this course. This French book was written first of all in 1996 by the author of this book. The name of this French course has been changed to 'Ajanta French in one Month' in this revised & enlarged new international edition. Dear readers, the favourable reception met with by the first edition of this French book 17 years ago has induced the author of this book to publish this new edition.

This course specially deals with: (1) French for travellers, (2) French for business, (3) Preparation for DELF A1 & A2 examinations (4) Technique of French letter writing, (5) Important Question- Answers, Essays, Dialogues etc. for Certificate & Diploma courses of French for the students of Indian universities, (6) Appendices & Mini French Dictionary. This course is extremely useful for everyone. Dear readers, this intensive French course is the result of many years of research conducted by Ajanta School of Foreign Languages, Amritsar (India). The foreword (avant-propos) of this book was written by Danielle Bajomee, professor, French Language & Literature, University of Liège, Belgium in December, 1995. The author of this book met Danielle Bajomee in December 1995 in Chennai during First International Congress of French as the author of this book participated in this international conference.

This course does not deal with French grammar. Students are suggested to read Ajanta French in Two Months if they are interested to have knowledge of French grammar. Ajanta French in Two Months is a separate course which should also be read along with 'Ajanta French in One Month'. 'Ajanta French in Two Months' has been appreciated by UNESCO, M. Jacques Chirac Ex. President of France, French Embassy, New Delhi and Association of Indian Teachers of French.
