Dear readers, the favourable reception met with by the first edition of this French book 17 years ago has induced the author of this book to publish this new edition.

The foreword (avant-propos) of this book was written by Danielle Bajomee, professor, French Language & Literature, University of Liège, Belgium in December, 1995. The author of this book met Danielle Bajomee in December 1995 in Chennai during First International Congress of French as the author of this book participated in this international conference.
This course does not deal with French grammar. Students are suggested to read Ajanta French in Two Months if they are interested to have knowledge of French grammar. Ajanta French in Two Months is a separate course which should also be read along with 'Ajanta French in One Month'. 'Ajanta French in Two Months' has been appreciated by UNESCO, M. Jacques Chirac Ex.
