There are many editions of this book of eternal wisdom, viz. the Bhagavad-Geeta. Some of them are excellent in which the authors have delved deep into the messages contained in the verses of the Bhagavad-Geeta. These authors have realized what Lord Krishna wished to convey. However, these literary and philosophical masterpieces are not so easy to understand for a common man.One should have made a lot of progress in order to reach a decent enough level to be able to comprehend what the authors have wished to convey.
Reading these excellent works is definitely tough going, therefore, the authors of this edition felt that an edition in which the verses, which have important messages are explained through stories, will be good for a common man. Don't we learn or get the messages easier through stories? The added advantage by adopting this style is that reading such an edition will become easy and interesting, especially if the stories are such that one can relate to them. However, we will like the readers to be aware that concepts explained through the stories are illustrative not exhaustive.
The authors are of the view that readers will not only enjoy reading these stories but also benefit immensely in their lives by having a good understanding of the messages of the Lord.
In the end, it is our humble request that readers meditate for a few minutes on the messages of the stories after reading them.
