Pt. Roop Chand Joshi introduced Lal Kitab in the 19th Century. A copy of the first book was published in 1939, is preserved in Lahore Museum. Lal Kitab is a scarce book in the field of Astrology. Lal Kitab is a simple way to predict any person's horoscope or a thing. The Lal Kitab is based on the nine planets; Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu & Ketu. Lal Kitab is easy to use and can predict without much calculations.

I am writing this book as per my Practice on Lal Kitab. In my practice, I saw that Lal Kitab predict by property of Planets which gives different Kinds of effects in other houses. Lal Kitab does not consider sign-wise predictions. The first house in the chart will always be considered Aries ascendant only, even if someone is born in Sagittarius ascendant as per Vedic astrology. Still, it will not be considered Sagittarius in the ascendant in the case of Lal Kitab. For example, according to Vedic astrology, if a person is born in Sagittarius Ascendant, his birth chart should be written in Sagittarius first, i.e., ascendant. Still, it will not be so in the Lal Kitab. According to Lal Kitab, the first house in the horoscope means that Aries will be written in Ascendant/Lagna, and Sagittarius will be marked in the same order in the ninth house. If we discuss the remedy portion, Lal Kitab does not recommend any Gemstone, Pujan, Jaap, etc. It will suggest only Totke Upaye to the native. The native should follow all the remedies of Lal Kitab for 40 to 41 days to get Results. We can calculate Varsha Phala of Lal Kitab and read the horoscope.
