The Kushana Sculptures from Sanghol, Edited by S. P. Gupta, has run out of stock. The monograph became popular amongst the scholars and art historians as well as general public because of its printing quality and also the informative and critical papers presented by seven experts on the subject. All the copies were sold out long time back. Hence, as per the decision taken by the Publication Committee of the National Museum, the second edition of the book is being published. In this context it may be mentioned that the Sanghol sculptures are presently preserved and displayed in the site museum itself. Its documentation and publication were initiated by the National Museum in 1985 for the benefit of scholars, students and art-hiatorians. However, it was yet to be completed. We hope that the Punjab Govt. will come forward and allow the National Museum to photograph the rest of the sculptures and other antiquities from Sanghol so that we are able to publish the IInd Volume also. Till then we will have to content with this second enlarged edition Vol. I. This has been possible because Dr. S. P. Gupta has added a new write-up on the subject bringing to light several new works of art from Sanghol. We are extremely thankful to him for this. We hope that the academic community would welcome this second edition.
