I was born in a middle-class family. We are very close to each other. Spending some time with family, after having a gruelling day was a kind of family ritual in our family. Even today we follow it. During that time we used to share about what happened in our day, the ups and downs of the days with one another. My father is a theist and he used to tell us stories in a very interesting way that were meant to teach me and my brother big lessons on life.
One day I was discussing with my father how life goes on. I simply asked my father "Papa, when I look around I see no one is happy, no one is satisfied in their lives, everyone is just running and trying to find peace and happiness in life but no one is getting it."
My father simply smiled and said, "happiness is in your pocket, you don't have to search for it somewhere out."
On hearing this I was startled because I didn't get what he meant t say. So I asked him, "What do you mean, papa?"
He said, "We will discuss it some other day."
That night I kept on thinking about what my father said. I was wondering if it is so easy to be happy then why the world can't be just happy and live peacefully?
