H. Ramachandran hails from a family, which although not affluent, was known for it, heritage of great scholars, notably in Sanskrit. He had a genius level Q which helped hint excel in every subject that he came across and win 5 gold medals in University.
With a master's degree in Physics, he taught Physics at graduate level at Loyola College, Chennai, for a. number of years. He also did research under the famous Nobel Laureate, DT. Sir C.V. Raman, for many. years. He has published over 40 articles in various fields. He was als5 the Asst. Editor of "Current Science", a leading international scientific journal published from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, for many years.
H. Ramachandran was a great scholar in literature, a philosopher, a musicologist and a writer, all rolled into one. HO mastery over the Tamil and English languages is quite evident in the numerous books that he wrote at many levels; story books for small children, science and biography books for high school and college students and philosophical treatises for adults.
