Introduction

This JATAKA ALANKARA by Shri Ganesh Kavi is a very concise compilation of Hindu Predictive Astrology in one hundred and ten Verses. The Adhyaya on Bhava Vichar gives the effects of the 12 Houses denoting their respective characteristics. The one on Yogas has given planetary combinations which are familiar but their effects are unknown to the reader & the scholars Similarly the verses in the chapters on Visha Kanya, Ayurdaya and the position of the Lord of the Lagna in each of the 12 Bhavas are not the common Slokas normally found in books of Astrology.

As the Kavi Ganesh himself has stated in the 3rd Verse of the Vansha Parichaya Adhyaya, this book was composed three hundred and seventy nine years ago in the year 1613. The language difficulty is there, but the Sanskrit Structure is not tense and easily intelligible. It has added tremendous experience to my previous attempts and has given me new vision in the Science of Astrology.
