An international campaign is being prosecuted by Life Mission for the resurgence of ancient Indian culture for the auspicious purpose of establishing its moral and ethical values in human society. For this task it is very critical to convey to society correct scriptural understanding of Karma Yoga, Gyan Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. This task is being pursued since 1984 through the Karma-Gyan-Bhagt Yoga shibirs conducted by the Shri Lakulish Yoga Vidyalaya. Qualified instructors under the guidance of His Holiness Swami Rajarshi Muniji are carrying out the instructional duties in these shibirs. The old curriculum has now been reviewed with the objective of expanding the scope of this activity. Accordingly, three types of shibirs up to certificate level have now been designed. These shibirs are of the duration of one, two and four weeks. Each shibir concludes with an examination and those who pass the examination are awarded a certificate of the Shri Lakulish Yoga Vidyalaya. The shibirs are open to any and all adults without restriction of age or gender. Even the desiring elders can join. These shibirs are conducted by trained instructors. The present volume is the preliminary introductory guide for the first shibir, which has been compiled by Pujya Yogini Maiyaji. I express my heartfelt gratitude to her on behalf of Life Mission for her contribution. It is expected that this guide will be beneficial to students and seekers.
This small booklet is a compilation of the fundamental principles of Karma-Gyan and Bhakti and the matter of Tattva or Elements. We have two possible alternatives before us for acquiring true knowledge. The first is the study of the Scriptures and the other is Satsanga. To my good fortune I have a priceless opportunity for the latter. That is why whatever information I have compiled in this booklet I have gained by sitting at the holy feet of Param Pujya Swami Rajarshi Muniji. Accordingly, the contents are authentic and free from doubt. I have made a humble effort to compile in this booklet Gurudeva's experience based thoughts and principles. I ask forgiveness for any flaw in my presentation. I conclude with humble obeisance and offering of this little booklet at Param Pujya Gurudeva's holy feet.
