The book entitled Integrated Ayurvedic Pain Management is focused on management of Painful conditions through integrated approach. This book cover the different concepts of pain in Ayurved and Allopathy. It also covers the assessment and diagnosis mentioned by both system of medicine-Ayurved and Allopathic medicine. Different treatment mentioned by both pathies are discussed in different chapters by different eminent authors. All the chapters are full of relevant images. This is a complete text book on the subject. The book also covers the other pain modalities described all over the world in different systems. This book is written in a simple language by the learned authors. This will be very useful book for U.G. and P.G./P.G. Diploma and certificate course students. This is first book written on the new subject 'Pain Management through Ayurveda'.

Dr. Devendra Nath Pande Chief author of the book entitled Integrated Ayurvedic Pain Management was born in Village Khalispur, Distt. Ghazipur (U.P). His Father Late Ram Autar Pande was Founder Principal of Inter College, Khalispur, Ghazipur. (U.P) and his mother Late Smt. Saraswati Pande was a humble lady and a good manager.

Dr. D.N. Pande did B.A.M.S. from Bihar University, Diploma in Yoga, M.D. (Ay.) Shalya Tantra & Ph.D. Shalya (Sangyaharan) from B.H.U., Varanasi. Further he joined Department of Shalya Shalakya B.H.U., Varanasi as Clinical Registrar on 02 June, 1987 and further as Lecturer on 17 March 1993, Reader in 2002 and Professor in 2009. He was appointed as Reader & Head, Deptt. of Shalya Shalakya, I.P.G.T.&R.A., G.A.U., Jamnagar in 2003 (on lien). He was appointed twice as Head, Deptt. of Shalya Shalakya, Faculty of Ayurveda, I.M.S., B.H.U., Varanasi. He was appointed as first and founder Head, Deptt. of Sangyaharan, I.M.S., B.H.U., Varanasi. He was President of A.A.I.M. (India) 2003 to 2010. He is Chief Editor Sangyaharan Shodh and member of several Editorial Boards. Writer of Sangyaharan Prakash, Anushastra Karma, Apada Praandhan and Shalya Subhasitani. He had published nearly more than 160 Scientific Research Papers. At present he is President of A.A.I.M., (C.C.). He organized 21 National, 6 International Conferences and more than 50 workshop and C.M.E. He established first Ayurvedic Pain Management O.P.D. in S.S. Hospital, B.H.U., Varanasi and produced 50 M.D. Ayu. 14 Ph.D., 30 Diploma and Certificate Course scholars all over India in the field of Sangyaharan and Ayurvedic Pain Management.

I am delighted with completion of this book 'Integrated Ayurvedic Pain Management' and bow my head to almighty God and my Pitragan-ancestors for heavenly blessing. I also express my thanks to my teachers, students and colleagues for their help and support in compilation of the book.
