There is a word which is beneficial for spirituality, the family , society and the nation. It is samata or samayik (right conduct or non- discrimination). A disciple may be unhappy with the teacher because the latter does not treat everyone without discrimination. The same is true of a father in relation to his sons of the eldest brother in relation to political workers. No one likes inequity. Even then man is surprisingly a victim of inequitable thinking and behavior. How then it is possible to ensure the growth of equity or non-discrimination ? Nothing is achieved without dedicated practice .Samayik is an Practicing equanimity in a dedicated spirit. If this practices is kept up for forty-eight minutes, with the mind concentrated on equity, the awareness of samata or non- discrimination is born. The third eye opens. Two outer eyes- ways of looking at things and people -denote equity or non- discrimination. It symbolizes neutrality or impartiality .All sects throughout the world have in religious terms emphasized the importance of equity .
Dr. C.R. Bhansali has in the present book tried to highlight the views of great thinkers who have deliberated on the importance of equanimity. This book will dispel the darkness of inequity from the minds of the readers and fill them with the radiance of impartiality and equanimity.
The age we live in is age of science and reasons. It is dominated by rational human beings who refuse to believe things unless they see them with their own eyes. There is no doubt science has fathomed such mysteries as are mind-boggling and has made it possible for man to reach even the surface of the moon mysterious than what we have seen with the help of science has also tried to explain the intricacies of human mind but what the editors of the book 'ABC of the Human Mind' Published by the readers 'Digest say is worth quoting : "From the first day the staff began work on the ABCs of the human Mind, We felt an ever growing sense of awe . One by one our perception fell away , to be replaced by a sense of the miracle that is the human mind. We came to understand that the brain is not one thing but literally millions of things happen, at once -and then a million more in the blink of an eye , and then a million- all combining to make us who we are."
Science has its own limitations and what is important to know about it is that it explores the external world only. Albert Einstein, the greatest genius of this age of science , has in his writings revealed that what science has discovered is just a tip of the iceberg. He says ,"The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious . It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and the science .Whoever doesn't know it and can no longer wonder ,no longer marvel, is as good as dead.. A knowledge of the existence of something we cannot penetrate, our perceptions of the profoundest reasons and the most radiant beauty, Which only in their most primitive forms are accessible and this emotion that constitute true religiosity". There is something beyond sensory perception which we call spiritual. His Holiness Ganadhipati Tulsi , founder of Anuvrat Movement, and Acharya Mahapragya who has developed a scientific system to explore the inner world in the form of Preksha Meditation have been advocating for that last many years that science and spirituality should be combined for better results to mitigate human suffering and usher in an Era of real happiness.
I have always been fascinated by this unfathomed mysterious world that lies within us. I am of the view that there should be conciliation between spirituality and science. Spirituality should form an integral part of our daily life. If an Individual combines spirituality with his or her profession , he will achieve amazing success in his area of work naturally. The book 'Insights into Spiritual Living ' is based on my personal profound experiences as well as on varied perceptions of spirituality gleaned from my extensive readings. Obviously Ganadhipati Tulsi has been a perennial source of inspiration for me. I owe my spiritual inclination to his blessing only . I also acknowledge my Indebtedness to Mr.S.L Gandhi for the Value suggestions he made from time to time in the preparation of this book . But for his assistance the book wouldn't see the light of day.
