The Andhra Pradesh State Museum, Hyderabad, has received several objects of great antiquarian value either acquired through Treasure Troves that have come to the light in the villages from the authorities of the respective districts or purchased directly from the private persons right from the days of the Asaf Jahi Dynasty. This includes several copper plate sets bearing inscriptions of the Kings of different dynasties that ruled parts of Andhra Pradesh. Separate monographs for some of the copper plate sets have already been brought out by the Department of Archaeology embodying critical notes on each of such set. There are more than 125 copper plate sets bearing inscriptions belonging to the dynasties dating from 3rd to 16th Century A.D.
