Preface

The idea to publish this book came to our mind in course of our discussion with some of our teachers and students. We found that the ideas have wings and they fly in all directions. They do not know any geographical boundaries. The ideology of communism has been spreading and in this course it is also developing and in each country. It is taking its own shape. To write on the world communist movement was an Impossible task. Therefore we decided to concentrate only on India. This was not a less in stupendous task. Still we have succeeded in producing what is in your hand.

In producing this book we received inspirations and encouragement from numerous sources. We acknowledge our gratitude to all of them but we are particularly be holden to Dr. Bishwanath Singh. University Professor of Political Science and Director Institute of P. A., Patna and Dr. M. S. Prasad, Professor and Head, Dept. of Political Science, P.G. Centre Nalanda College and Dr. Chandrika Prasad Singh, Head, Political Science Dept., Sao Chang College, Tuensang, Nagaland, who always encouraged and inspired us to fulfil the mission on which we have embarked. We have covered some distance but we have fully conscious that we have still miles to go and promise to keep.

Our thanks are also due to Mittal Publications, New Delhi for their readiness to undertake the publication of the book.
