The book writing is not only product of hard labour of author alone. Rather it is a result of help extended by a number of persons at different stages to the author. Hence, as an author, it is my moral and pious duty to extend my gratitude and thanks to all of them individually and collectively.

My first gratitude goes to all those teachers and scholars whose books, articles and papers have helped me much in completion of the book directly and indirectly. I am thankful to all teachers of the Department of Anthropology, Ranchi University, Ranchi, who have encouraged me to write this book in English medium.

Equally, I am thankful to all research scholars of Department of Anthropology who suggested me to write this book in English for the benefit of scholars and students.

I am thankful to my family members who have extended every kind of cooperation in completion of the book. No less thankful I am to Shri Ashok Kumar Mittal Ji and his team of Concept Publishing Company Pvt. Limited, New Delhi who printed my manuscript of the book with meticulous care.
