Book Description
Introduction

Vaishnava means a devotee of Krishna or Vishnu. A pure Vaishnava automatically possesses all saintly qualities. Of such persons some are satisfied with their own spiritual development and devote themselves to personal worship of the lord. Others feeling great compassion for the fallen souls work tirelessly to deliver them.

Our saintly heroes set the ideal example of how to follow the godly way of life and they are therefore called acharyas (those who teach by example). They form a line of spiritual masters who descend from the spiritual world just for our benefit.

By reading of their uncommon activities we can learn about the character of pure devotes and understand how they dedicate themselves to the mission of God. By attentively studying such wonderful stories and pastimes one naturally loses taste for worldly affairs.

This is the mercy of great saints. Let us pray they will always be present in our minds and hearts and guide us book to the shelter of the spiritual world.

Regarding the lives of the saints sometimes different versions of the same story are told. A good example is that if the anklebell pastime in the life of Shyamananda Pandit. In making a choice we have chosen purely on an arbitrary basis as our main objective is simply to glorify the acharyas whose pastimes are as numerous as the leaves humbly present them herein.
