Divinity exists in every human begins. Though we tend to overlook His presence within us, a time comes during our sojourns on earth when we feel an intense craving to experience the Truth. True faith and devotion leads one towards that path of enlightenment and hence inspires others to follows the same.
In this book, the author narrates her spiritual journey. With Jesus and Sathya Sai Baba as her friends and Shirdi Sai as her true divine Master.
Written in a Frank and lucid style, the author’s reflections are interesting to read which will inspire devotees of Sai Baba to experience His presence in every moment of their existence as He is always with us, always begins our true friend, guide and philosopher.
Indoctrinated into the Catholic faith and an Indian by birth, the author had migrated to Australia at the age of 23. Lorraine Walshe-Ryanis a sincere devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba. Her intense faith on Baba has helped her to steer through her personal sufferings and tribulations and enable her to experience His love each day helping her to look forward to the next day.
I have known Lorraine since 1997 and have witnessed the incredible effect her experiences have had on her. She is a truly unique person in that she lives what she believes and moreover is a genuine and caring individual. I cannot speak highly enough about her.
Lorraine, I am very excited for you, as I can see this is truly a labour of your love for Sai. You have done a great job in creating this compilation of your experiences and putting them onto paper for others to enjoy and understand that once you surrender to His Will, He will take care of you.
I have great pleasure in writing this Foreword at the request of the author - one steeped in spirituality. Reflecting on the Lorraine Ryan I know, I am reminded of the words in the hymn Amazing Grace — ‘I once was lost but now am found; was blind but now I see’.
The spark of divinity exists in the core of our being. A time comes during our sojourn on earth when we experience a thirst, a yearning to find out who we truly are. When this yearning becomes intense, tinged with true faith and devotion, an enlightened soul crosses our path. This great soul has in His mission, a task to lead those who are ready, to the Light. Despite the many trials in the author’s life, she was blessed with a steady stream of such great souls to lead her back onto the spiritual path. This book is an interesting compilation of her life’s story, sprinkled with spiritual thoughts and actions, providing readers with a source of inspiration and encouragement to respond to the challenge at hand.
I Am Always with You traces Lorraine’s life’s journey on earth from childhood with Jesus as her friend and companion to Sathya Sai Baba and finally finding her true Divine Master, Shirdi Sai. It records how surrendering to Shirdi Sal has enabled her to experience His love each day making life that much more bearable. In fact it helps her look forward to the next day. In the time I have known Lorraine, she has always struck me as one who is sincere in her quest — to quench her spiritual thirst.
I commend Lorraine on her ‘labour of love’ and pray her sincere efforts will benefit many a reader in their hour of need.
God bless
Things happened very rapidly. I vaguely remember hearing about Swami (Sathya Sai Baba) as a child or a teenager, but being in detonated into the Catholic faith, no other religion was taught or spoken of in our household, even though we lived between Hindus and Muslims in Calcutta, India, where I was born and raised. We were Catholics and only knew of ‘Sweet Jesus’; ‘thank Heavens’, my Sweet Jesus is still with me.
In writing this book, it is solely ‘The Doer’ Shirdi Sal along with Sathya Sal and Jesus, with whose inspiration and guidance, it has been completed after nine years. During these years I have seen the changes in my life. I who loved to smoke, drink and party, now prefers to stay home, pray, be silent, whenever the opportunity arises help the needy, feed the poor, be compassionate and helpful, and most of all, to make people laugh or at least put a smile on their face. Writing this book has been possible only because of Baba’s Grace, who along with Sathya Sai and Jesus has been ‘the Doers’ and me merely following their instructions.
I pray this book with Baba’s grace, be a reality to those who believe in the Divinity within Them. I am that, for He is always with you (and me).
Many thanks to the three Gurus (i.e., Shirdi Sai, Sathya Sai and Jesus Sai), my family and the many wonderful Sai friends I have encountered in this journey, to Henry L. who has helped me on countless occasions with the photocopying, printing and saving my data for me.
Sincere thanks to all.
